Aeranthes ramosaA.ramosa bears a total of 5-7 leaves that are 6-10 in /15-25 cm long and are arranged in two raws .The wiry flower spike grows to the length of 12 in /30 cm and bears 1-2 green -and -yellow flowers of a curious ,almost glass-like appearance . This genus comes from the African south-most of the total of 40 species grow in Madagascar . All the members of the genus have dramatically shortened monopodial stems,and their tepals are often almost transparent and run in to long pointed tips at the ends .The short stem of Their tepals and lip are pointed at the ends .Part of the ca 1.5 in/3-4 cm big flowers is a spur with a blunt end . The rules of cultivation are the same as with the genus Aerangis ( see A .carnea). The plant blooms in the fall and comes from central and eastern Madagascar ,just like its close relative ,A.grandiflora.
