Angraecum germynianum

Angraecum germynianum

Angaecum germynianum has an appearance typical of the entire genus : memberes of the genus Angraecum are usually of a bigger build, with a more or less elongated stem covered with two two thick rows of leaves. The flowers shoot out either one bye one ,or more often in clusters, and ther are white . The most beautiful feature of the flower of the species in the photogrph is its shell-shaped lip with a conspicuously extended spur; these are also characteristic traits of the genus . Cultivation of all the members of the genus is fairly simple .The most robust plants need to be planted in flowerpots with a coarse epiphytic mix; smaller species are happier if attached to a slab of bark or twing .Provide larger supports for the climbing species .Other cultivation rules are identical with the care of the species A. distichum . The species A. germynianum blooms in the fall and early spring ,and it comes from the tropical west of Africa .
