Brassocattleya binosa is primarily a epiphytic orchid from Costa rica and panama a hybrid of Brassocattleya nodosa with Cattleya bicolor registered by R. Tanaka in 1950,This is a widely known and grown Brassocattleya nodosa cross. A cross of two species, most of the progeny resemble each other strongly.
