Bulbophyllum falcatum commonly known as Name Sickle-Shaped Leaf Bulbophyllum is an orchid with mini flowers which blooms in winter till spring on a 6 1/4" [to 16 cm] long, spicate inflorescence with a very flattened, strongly undulate, rachis with short-stalked flowers horizontally aligned on either side it is a hot growing, bifoliate epiphyte or occasional lithophyte at altitudes below 1800 meters with broadly to narrowly ovoid, 2 to 4 angled pseudobulbs carrying 2 apical, lanceolate or linear leaves. The original home of this orchid is central to west Africa in lowland and submontane forests
