coelogyneovalis

This plant is enlarged version of C. fimbriata. Even the flowers look the same ,except they are up to 50% larger and grow usually singly out of the apices of the pseudobulbs. Also the rules of cultivation of this lovely orchid are the same as those of its smaller ''sister'',except that C. ovalis is a little more cryophilic . It blooms in June and July. Its orginal habitat -lower to medium altitudes (up to 6. 500 ft /2,000 m) of the Himalayas-corresponds with the fact that the species thrives in a cooler and well-ventilated environment .
