dendrobium-crepidatum

A beautiful deciduous orchid with extended grooved pseudobulbs;their length does not exceed 8 in /20 cm ,which makes D.crepidatum a highly space-saving plant for collections. Its waxy,tough flowers grow in twos out of individual joints. Their lips are embellished with a showy deep -yellow spot ,the other tepals are pinkish. Flowering season stretches from April to June. The plant is known to grow over a vast area,including india,the Himalayas ,Burma,Thailand and Laos.
