A species with thin stick-shaped overhanging pseudobulbs that are up to 16 in/40 cm long. After the pseudobulbs mature, 1-2 large flowers with frily -edged , heart-shaped lips grow out of their nodes . The surface of each lip is decorated with two orange-and-yellow spots .The edges of the lip and the other tepals of a typical representative of this species are pink-and-purple; in contrast , the plant introduced in the photo has pure white flowers-except for the indispensible yellow spots. The best way of growing them is epiphytic ,much like the other deciduous species . D. devonianum blooms between spring and summer and is native to the northeast of India,Burma, the southwest of China and the north of Thailand.
