A small , somewhat obscure species suitable for lovers of unconventional orchids. Its pseudobulbs have an unusual appearance : the species' thin , extended stems arre thickly covered with two rows of unique fleshy leaves that are arranged in a reverse ,tree-like manner. The length of the partly deciduous leaves that are almost round in cross-section does not exeed 2-2.4 in/5-6 cm. One or two flowers grow out of the nodes formed by the upper parts of the stem and are quite large . The white lip is embellished with an orange-and -yellow spot in the gullet. Grow the species in relatively moist conditions without a substantial period of rest.D. exile blooms in December and comes from Thailand ,Burma, Laos and other countries.
