dendrobium -infundibulum

This orchid with s tongue -twisting Latin name closely resembles the species D. formosum both in appearance and cultivation requirementd . The features that distinguish it are its slightly smaller (2.8 in/7 cm) flowers and lip shape . The subspecies ssp.jamesianum is grown more oftern and it has, in contrast to the typical representatives of the species ,more robust straight -growing pseudobulbs and tomentose edges of the lip. Cultivation is the same as that of the species D. formosum . The flowers appear between March and June . The plant is native to India ,Burma,Laos and Thailand.
