dendrobium-lamellatulum

dendrobium-lamellatulum

This species features extended pseudobulbs, significantly flattened from two sides . The tiny (0.6-0.8 in /1.5-2 cm) flowers are less attractive ,although the remarkable spur on each flower, formed by tepals extended backward , certainly deserves credit . The flowers grow (sometimes repeatedly)in bunches on the apices of the pseudobulbs that have shed their leaves ;they are white, greenish or yellow ,with a honey brown spot in the gullet of each lip.Grow them in a similar manner as you would other deciduous species of this genus. The plant blooms in March and grows in the countryside of Thailand ,Burma ,Malaysia ,Indonesia ,the Philippines and elsewhere.
