Two or three flowers grow from the knots on the leafless pseudobulbs at the peack of the dry season . When in bloom ,the plant resembles another colloctor's hit -D . unicum. The flowers appear on D.lanyiae in early spring. The species is native to Burma ,Thailand and Laos.
