dendrobium-peguanum

A very pretty dwarf orchid ,perfect for growers with limited cultivation space. The pseudobulbs of this species resemble a barrel; they are intensly swollen and only 1.2 -1.6 in/3-4 cm long . During the vegitation period (between spring and fall),they are covered with 4-5 fresh green leaves that are subsequently shed . The whitish flowers with a brown-and -green lip and a purple spot in the center grow in sparse racemes out of the upper parts of the pseudobulbs between January and March . In their homeland (Thailand ,Burma,Laos, etc) ,the plants grow over thicker branches of semideciduous trees.
