A species with pronouncedly jointed semi -deciduous pseudobulbs and flower lips that vary greatly in color. The pseudobulbs reach lengths of up to 10 in /25 cm and their apical parts give risse to sparse inflorescences with tiny flowers . The tepals are always pure white ,while their lip color ranges from light yellow to shiny orange. Grow the plant epiphytically in somewhat moist conditions ; the winter rest need not be overly substantial . The species blooms between December and March and comes from the medium altitudes of Thailand,Laos and Burma.
