dendrobium-sukhakulii

A lovely small orchid ,whose importance for cultivation and collection has not yet received its due recognition . The stem pseudobulbs are of medium thickness and up to 8 in/20 cm long ,and their upper knots give rise to long overhanging racemes of deep yellow flowers with a huge flat lip on each . The center of the flower is highlighted with a pronounced yellow spot . Grow the species epiphytically ,the same as you would other deciduous representatives of the genus. Flowers can be expected between February and April. D. sukhakulii occurs in Thailand ,Burma and Laos.
