This species is sometimes classified as D. densiflorum var. albo-lutea. This pretty much sums it up about the relation , appearance and ecological requirements of this orchid. In contrast to the yellow -flowered D. densiflorum , this plant has sparser ,overhanging inflorescences and tinier white flowers with an orange-and-yellow lip. It blooms in early spring and comes from the area between Nepal and Thailand.
