A representative of a small genus (4 species ) that is not of great significance for cultivation;it includes tiny epiphytic orchids with a short (up to 7.2 in/ 18 cm) and thin stem. The stem is covered with leaves that are somewhat falcate and about 4 in / 10 cm long. The species D. championi forms short raceme inflorescence of 3-5 yellowish flowers that are 0.6 in/1.5 cm across and bear a small whitish lip embellished with russet markings. Grow it as a standerd thermophilic ipiphylic epiphyte . The plant blooms between March and June and comes from a vast Asian area-the photograph was taken in Thailand .
