encyclia-aromaticaE.aromatica is perfect for amateur collections, although its inflorescence tends to be quite long . But who would object to an abundance of colorful ,fragrant flowers? The pseudobulbs are very pleasant: the pseudobulbs reach lengths of up to 1.6 in /4cm, the leaves 12 in / 30 cm . The inflorescence-a panicle -is up to 40 in / 1 m long ,overhanging, branched and bearing many flowers . The flowers are quite large (up to 1.6 in /4 cm ),pale yellow, with a purple maring on the lip. Cultivation is the same as in the case of E.alata ,except for the heating requirements that are some what higher with E. aromatica. The plant blooms between July and August and comes from Mexico and Guatemala.
