epidendrum-diffusm

The species E. diffusm hardly ranks among the most beautiful orchids of the world, but it is a typical representative of the tye of Epidendrum orchids that create pseudobulbs (the other species form tall ,''reed -like'',densely- foliated stems). The pseudobulbs reach lengths of up to 8 in /20 cm ,they bear 2-5 leaves and their apices give rise to huge overhanging panicles numbering many inconspicuous brown-and - green flowers . The cultivation requirements of this orchid are the same as those of any common epiphyte :it requires semi-shade and sufficient air movement . E. diffusum blooms between October and November and comes from Mexico ,Guatemala and Cuba.
