The plant has decorative ,circular ,vividly green pseudobulbs ,each bearing a pair of thin leaves . The flower spikes grows out of the bases of mature pseudobulbs and bears 5-8 yellow -and -green , brown -speck- led flowers . This undemanding orchid should grown epiphytically in semi-shade ,on a piece of bark or a chock of elderberry, and after the new pseudobulbs mature , it should be treated to a brief period of rest . It blooms between May and July and ,besides Cuba,it is known to grow on the other islands of the West Indies, in south Florida and Mexico.
