One of the most robust species of the whole genus -its pseudobulbs are up to 4 in/10 cm tall,the leaves reach lengths of 24 in/60 cm. The flowers are up to 4.8 in/ 12 cm across and stunningly beautiful . They consists of a white ,red -spotted lip,three outer brown -and- red and two inner whitish tepals . The species' cultivation requirements do not differ much from those of L. aromatica .Flower buds appear at the bases of the pseudobulbs between March and July. When exactly they appear depends on the climate of the habitats -for the plants grow over a vast area of Centra and South America( bettween costarica and Bolivia).
