Nanodes schlechterianum

As with other Nanodes orchids,N. schlechterianum is by many botanists included in the meternal genus of Epidendrum.Classification of this particular specious has one more pecularity -the plant is oftern presented under the its synonym ,N. discolor. Its stem bear two raws of fleshy , soft leaves that reach lengths of up to 0.8 in/2 cm . The flowers are greenish brown with a pinkish brown lip; they are about 0.8 in /2 cm . across and there are 1-3 of them per each extremely short terminal inflorescence . Cultivation does not differ from that of N. porpax . The plant blooms irregularly throughout the year -most often between the fall and spring . The species' geographical area includes Mexico ,Panama, Colombia,Venezuela, Brazil,Peru , Trinidad ,and other countries in that region.
