Notylia barkeri

A representative of a numorous (40 species ) genus with plain -looking flowers arranged in quite showy raceme inflorescences. N. barkeri is not overly interesting with regard to cultivation and is only suitable for specialized botanical collections. It has tiny ,flat ,ball-shaped -to- elliptic pseudobulbs,and bell-shaped -to-oval ,tough leaves that are up to 8 in/20 cm long . The plants usually don't reach their maximum possible proportions but still bloom ,even if much smaller . The tiny ,greenish white flowers in large numbers on an overhanging raceme . Grow the plant epiphytically in a medium-lighted and well-ventilated environment . The flowers appear in the spring . The species is known to grow in the warmer regions of Central America.
