Oncidium pumilum

Another representative of '' dog-eared '' Oncidia that are highly -valued and typical of the genus due to the morphology of their inflorescences . The species lacks pseudobulbs and the function of the storage organs was overtaken by the thickened ,reddish , elongated ,oval leaves . The overhanging inflorescence is regularly branched, with the lateral branches densely covered with miniature (o.3 in/8 mm across) red -and -yellow flowers . This epiphyte is somewhat more demanding of light and heat. Flowers can be expected between April and May .O.pumilum comes from Brazil and Paraguay .
