A sizeable Venus's shoe with multi-flower spikes , a feature that is quite rare by the genus ' standard. Each of its durable flowers only after the previous flower has faded and fallen off, which prolongs the time of flowering to many months . Its proportions render the species unsuitable for small amateur collections - its leaves reach lengths of 12 in /30 cm .The 20 in /50 -cm -long spike gradually produces 3-10 flowers. They are very showy and resemble another multi -flowered species-P. glaucophyllum . Provide the plant with a warm,moist environment throuhout the year,as it blooms almost continuously thanks to its different flowering strategy . It is native to Sumatra.
