Paphiopdilum exul

A warmth -loving inhabitant of sun -drenched limestone rocks colored by the sea winds . Its glossy green narrow leaves are arranged in a compact stiff rosette. A single flower grows on a 8-in/20-cm -long spike ;the yellow-and-white flower is adorned with a marking similar to that of the widespread species P. insigne,but it is smaller and its upper sepal has dark spots only at the base .P.exul is a species with above-average light demands; during the winter ,it should therefore be decelerated by reducing watering and temperature . It blooms between February and July and its natural habitat is in Thailand.
