Nowadays, its fame has faded a little . The plant's pure green leaves are up to 10 in /25 cm long and arranged in large numbers in rosette clusters . Its one-flowered spike is about 8 in / 20 cm long and bears one flower that is 4 in / 10 cm across. The upper yellow -and - green sepal has a white edge and it is covered with red -and -brown spots . The petals and the lip are brown -and-red . There are a high number of color variations . In amateur conditions ,this species is a little difficult to cultivate ,as the plants require a cool environment with plenty of light and a maximum possible amount of ventilation throughout the year . You can enrich the substrate with a little soil component .p. insigne blooms in the winter and comes from the Himalayas .
