Phalaenopsis braceana

A miniature and very decorative orchid with small leaves whose assimilation ''debt'' is well complemented by the photosynthesis of its numorous flat roots that grow over the support in to great distances from the shortened stem. Some3-7 flowers appear on the overhanging flower spike and they are very showy . The greenish hue of the tepals gradually turns into brown -and -red color at the tepals ' base ; the lip is shiny pink. The plants cultivation requirements are the same as those of other Phalaenopsis orchids . The species blooms in the spring and is native to Burma and southern China.
