Phalaenopsis celebensis

A very handsome orchid that is quite rare in collections. The smaller proportions of the flowers are compansated for their quantity- there can be up to 30 of them on the semi-erect or overhanging spikes . Orange -and -yellow spots on the lateral tepals and orange -and -yellow lineation on the lip complement the white color of the flower . The species blooms in the fall and it was discovered in Celebes.
