Phalaenopsis parishii

A highly sought after (and also given due recognition ) miniature .P. parishii boasts only cultivation assets -small proportions ,beautiful flowers and low demands . It does not differ from a related species ,P. lobbii in the appearance of its green parts ,but it has prettier flowers ; they are 0.8 in/2 cm tall,white with an extended ,ocher -and-purple lip with a hairy center . This loveable orchid should only be cultivated epiphytically on a bare vertical support . The flowers are produced between may and June . The plant was discovered in Burma and other countries in southwest Asia.
