Phalaenopsis venosa

An extremely rare species that cultivators obtain only with the greatest difficulty . Its leaves resembles those of P. violecia both in size and apperance.Its fragile -looking ,showy flowers are 1.6 in / 4 cm across and they grow (sometimes repetedly ) on a 6 -in /15 cm long spike and bearing only a few of them . They are brown-and -red with green -and-yellow edges and a white center . The lip is tiny . Cultivation is similar to that of the above mentioned related species; the plant requires more humid than average conditions throughout the year . It blooms in the summer and discovered in Celebes ,Indonesia.
