Phalaenopsis wilsonii

P.wilsonii is still an extremely rare specimen of orchid collections . Lately ,it has been classified as belonging in the genus Kingidium ;its distinguishing features are ,for instance ,its peculier -colored ,sparse ,deciduous leaves or the shape of its flower lip. The species is a wonderful looking orchid with very showy flowers . It creates a multitude of flattened aerial roots . Its flowerspike measure 8 in / 20 cm at the most and is able to carry 3-10 pinkish flowers with an impressive purple and yellow lip. Grow the species as other thermophilic Phalaenopsis orchids. This orchid blooms between March and June and it is only known to grown in China.
