Phragmipedium klotzchianum

In the wild ,the plants of this species can be spotted on water banks or in regularly flooded regions -their higher -than -average requirements of the moisture of the substrate must also be satisfied in cultivation . With its leaves reaching lengths of 12 in /30 cm . The tepals are brown -and -red ,the lip tends to range in color between yellow and yellow -and-green . Grow the species in semi-shade ,the same as other Phragmipedium orchids; every once in a while,dampen the substrate throughly with rainwater. Flowers appear in the winter. The species is native to Guiana and Venezuela.
