Phragmipedium pearcei

This species' main asset are its beautiful and very fragile -looking flowers. Its leaf rosettes resemble those of other medium -sized relatives . The plants relatively large flowers open successively on an erect multi-flower spike . The flowers parade a filigree green and white coloring complemented by brown spots on the edge of the lip. The elongated ,downward pointing petals are reddish on the ends . This terrestrial or epiphytic species is relatively adaptive ;after all , in the wild it grows in altitudes between 980-3,600 ft/300-1,100 m . It blooms in the summer and inhabits regions surrounding rivers in peru,Ecuador ,colombia and Costa Rica.
