Common Name - The Colombian Rodriguezia

All the species included in this small (a tottal of 35 ) are relatively small and of attractive appearence . Their tubular flowers feature a pair of backward -pointing ,elongated ,sack-shaped lateral sepal resembling a spur. Rodriguezia grandensis is a ravishing miniature . Its pseudobulbs are barely 0.8 in/2 cm long and they bear a single ,2-2.8 -in/5-7 cm long leaf o fmedium stiffness. The yellowish -white flowers grow on overhanging sparse racemes . Rodriguezia granadensis species is an epiphyte with small cultivation requirements . The plant blooms in the summer and fall and is native to Ecuador.
