Stanhopea jenischiana

Common Name - Jenisch's Stanhopea [German Orchid Enthusiast late 1800's

This orchid is closely related to the species S. oculata and S.wardii -the appearance of its almost identical ;slight differences can be observed in the morphology of its flowers . Cultivation rules are the same as those that apply to S. martiana . The plant blooms in the fall and is native to Ecuador ,Venezuela , Colombia and Panama .
