Tainia viridifusca is an orchid with very long and narrow leaves. it belongs to the large asian genus of terrestrial or epiphytic orchids .Its trailing rhizome gives rise to unifoliate cylindrical pseudobulbs . The tall ,erect inflorescence does not develop until they fall off. Tainia viridifusca orchid has flowers of the size 1.4 in / 3.5 cm and has upto 30 flowers. the tepals are brownish and twisted lengthways a little . The whitish lip is inconspicuous and short .

Cultivation of Tainia viridifusca orchid requires certain amount of attention. It can be grown in pots in a preamble epiphytic mix (enriched with humic complement ) . The orchid thrives in a warm, humid semi-shade environment during vegetation. But when it sheds its leaves watering should be stopped and temperature should be reduced. Tainia viridifusca blooms in january and the original home of the orchid is Thailand.
