Common Name - Kramer's Ticoglossum [German Orchid Colletor in South America 1800's]

Ticoglossum krameri are orchids which have oval pseudobulbs, and are 2 in / 5 cm long. Ticoglossum krameri orchid has a single 8 in / 20 cm long leaf. It should be grown epiphytically or in a suspended flowerpot placed in a well -ventilated ,shady and rather cool environment . The erect flowerspike is only 8 in/20 cm tall and with 2-3 sparsely distributed flowers . The elliptic tepals are pure white ,the lip is pinkish -to-white . Ticoglossum krameri requires frequent misting on hot summer days , and it is advisable to pour water on the greenhouse floor .

Ticoglossum krameri plant can be hanged in a treetop in your garden . During winter after after the flowers fade ,treat the plant to a short period of dryness. Ticoglossum krameri blooms between the fall and spring and originaly comes from Central America (including Panama ,Costa Rica and Nicaragua).
