Trichopilia marginata also known by the name Trichopilia coccinea or its common name The Rimmed Trichopilia is a beautiful species . It is a species that prefer hot to cool temperature is medium sized and is usually found at elevations of 800 to 1500 meters above sea level . . It looks much like also known by the name Trichopilia coccinea laxa,except its flowers are much larger (up to 4.8 in/12 cm across) The flower tepals ,including the tubular lip ,are whitish -pink on the outside and crimson red with a white edge (hence the Latin species name) on the inside .

Trichopilia marginata orchid can be grown epiphytically ,but is always advisable to grow it in a suspended flowerpot filled witha permeable epiphytic mix. Plants mounted on supports. This orchid must be misted more frequently . Trichopiliamarginata blooms between April and May and its natural habitat is Central America ,an area that borders Guatemala and Colombia.
