Vanda Coerulea HybridThe species Vanda Coerulea hybrid looks very similar to one of the few blue -blossomed botanical orchid in the world . This qualiy of Vanda Coerulea has been used extensively in creating both interspecies and intergeneric hybrids .Its sky -blue flowers (5-15 )with a darker ,hairnet -like venation are up to 4 in /10 cm across and grow on an erect spike reaching a length of up to 16 in /40 cm . Vanda Coerulea can be grown in baskets or large pots filled with smallish pieces of bark or with a coarse epiphytic substrate . This orchid requires a relatively cool air and lots of light .The development of the stems are very slow and even flowering is very irregular and rare.. This orchid comes from Asam , Burma and Thailand .
