Vanda tricolor var.suavisCommon Name The Soft Vanda Vanda tricolor var.suavis is a relatively undemanding and yet very handsome species . Unfortunately ,with its monopodial stem covered with two rows of 12 -18 in/30 -45 cm -long leaves reaches a length of 4.9 ft /150 cm ! Its overhanging inflorescences consists of 5-10 three-colored (see the species name ),2-2.4 in/5-6 cm -across fragrant flowers it is only suitable for big collection greenhouses ,asOn a typical specimen ,the propeller -shaped tepals are white on the outside and yellowish with brown spots on the inside . The Vanda tricolor var.suavis, the lip is pink-and-purple .The species comes from Java and Laos, has the same cultivation requirements as other intermediate Vandas and usually blooms in Winter season..
