Eria ringens

Reichb.f. in Bonplandia , v. 222; pseudobulbs 5 in. fusiform, leaves linear –lanceolate acuminate , racemes lateral glabrous , bracts ovate much shorter than the pedicels , flowers ¼ in ., sepals lanceolate and broadly linear , petals 3-nerved , lip small ovate acute 5-nerved with an oblong thickening on each side below the middle . Walp . Ann. Vi. 275.

TENASSERIM ;at Moulmein , Parish.

Pseudobulbs as thick as the finger in the middle . Leaves 5-6 in., terminal . Raceme 2- 2½ in ., suberect .-Lindley (in Journ . Linn. Soc. iii. 55) refers this to Eria ovata , b.R. xxx.(1844) under t. 29 , of the Philippines , which has ovate obtuse leaves and a pubscent raceme .
