Pseudobulb 1-5 in., from a stout oblique rhizome , as thick as a goose-quill , basal sheaths very large , membranous . Leaves 3-4 in., oblong –lanceolate . Scape and raceme 3-5 in.; bracts copular ; petals oblong , 3 nerved .-The Siam specimen has a panduriform lip.
