A tufted epiphyte ; rhizome creeping ; pseudobulbs narrower , 1-leaved . Leaf coriaceous , many –nerved. Flowers small in a distichous spike , concealed by the imbricating bracts. Sepals very broad , subequal , spreading . Petals minute , rounded –ovate. Lip small , sessile on the base of the column , erect , broadly tongue-shaped ; midlobe thick , oblong , concave , margins recuved . Column very short , broad; anther suberect, sessile , persistent , cells distant ; pollinia 4, ovoid , free or cohering by a viscus .
