Root Rot

Root rot is usually attributed to too much water ,change in pH etc. But Hood and Jackson (1965) have been able to show that the fungus Fusarium ,which they isolated from rotted roots ,were responsible for the destruction of root tissues .The fungus Pellicularis filamentosa is also said to cause root rot. It rapidly kills seedlings and retards growth of mature plants. Soak the affected plants in fungicide after removing all rotted roots.
